With active and tangible participation, the Omani Research and Education Network (OMREN) took part in the semi-annual meeting of the Arab States Research and Education Network (ASREN) held in Rabat, Morocco, from May 29 to 31, 2024. Ms. Najah Al-Rashdi, representing OMREN, delivered a comprehensive presentation on the network’s achievements and future programs.

Ms. Najah Al-Rashdi also highlighted the strategic objectives of OMREN, focusing on enhancing collaboration between researchers and educational institutions in Oman, providing access to global research resources, and supporting innovation and entrepreneurship. She emphasized the various services offered by the network that contribute to advancing scientific research and improving education in Oman.

In the interactive discussions, participants explored ways to strengthen cooperation between research networks in Arab countries, including resource and expertise exchange, organizing joint conferences and workshops, and supporting collaborative research projects. The meeting concluded with an agreement to support ASREN’s role as a regional platform for fostering collaboration in scientific research and education.

At the end of the meeting, Ms. Najah Al-Rashdi reaffirmed OMREN’s commitment to cooperating with other research networks in Arab countries and supporting ASREN’s efforts in achieving its goals of advancing scientific research and innovation in the Arab region.
